Visavacancestravail.be is the website of the travel agency Languages & Travel, which holds travel agency license A1602 and is based in Brussels . Languages & Travel is a language and educational travel organizer established in 1992. We put our extensive experience organizing trips for young people at the service of Visa holders within the framework of the Working Holiday Visa programs .
Due to current European laws, we are required to comply with the GDPR; we have an obligation to provide information regarding passport and travel insurance requirements. Most importantly, we must carry insolvency insurance to protect you from potential bankruptcy. Languages & Travel is insured for this purpose with AMLIN. We also have a duty to assist you should anything happen to you while you are abroad. We demonstrated this ability to provide assistance, particularly at the very beginning of the pandemic when Working Holiday Visa holders there asked us to repatriate them to Belgium and France as quickly as possible.
Australia is the country for which we have always had the most demand and for which we are developing the most programs to date.
You have the choice between:
1. A Basic Pack without English lessons
2. An Activities Package in Sydney and Melbourne
3. A Complete Pack with English courses in 11 different destinations (Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Sunshine Coast, Noosa...).
4. Experience Packs+ such as ranch training followed by guaranteed placement, our half-pair stays in several Australian cities, company internships, animal protection programs (whales...) and environmental conservation programs (monitoring on the Great Barrier Reef).
If, despite our extensive selection, you cannot find the program of your dreams, we are here to listen.
Australia has always captivated people with its landscapes, its almost constant sunshine… and its unemployment rate hovering around 6%! This offers real opportunities to find work while allowing those seeking employment to enjoy a quality of life that many envy . From the holiday atmosphere of the East Coast to the Outback steeped in Aboriginal culture in the heart of the country, and the Great Barrier Reef with its turquoise waters, there's no shortage of attractions in this destination where both city dwellers and nature lovers will find what they're looking for thanks to the Australian Working Holiday Visa.
On the island continent, you're spoiled for choice when it comes to kicking off your adventure in the best possible way. Sydney , the economic heart of Australia, is just a stone's throw from the country's most beautiful beaches and boasts a mosaic of neighborhoods, each with its own distinct character. Melbourne offers a vibrant cultural scene and a trendy lifestyle. Or perhaps Brisbane , the gateway to the Gold Coast , enjoys almost constant sunshine. These are just some of the destinations perfect for those dreaming of taking the plunge with an Australian Working Holiday Visa. Another option is to head to New Zealand or Canada .
The Australian Working Holiday Visa currently costs 670 Australian dollars (approximately 380 euros). Our team will obtain it for you, generally in less than 24 hours after completing the necessary steps on the Australian Immigration website (Visavacancestravail.be has administrator access). If you already have it, we will deduct its cost from the package you choose.
You will need to provide a certified copy of your passport – either from the municipality where you are domiciled, or a notary or lawyer – as well as proof of sufficient funds of approximately €3000 in your name (this money can later be used to pay for departure costs: plane tickets, job assistance, etc.), you must not have this amount available at the start.
Immigration occasionally conducts " spot checks " which can delay the obtaining of the Working Holiday Visa by approximately 2 weeks.
We compared the insurance offers and policies of several companies and our choice fell on the Travel Zen contract from our insurance broker .
Why? This contract covers a wide range of situations that can, fortunately rarely, occur during a Working Holiday Visa stay in Australia. It has evolved over the years since the introduction of the Working Holiday Visa in Australia for Belgians in 2004. It was designed specifically for working holiday programs.
What Visavacancestravail.be particularly appreciates in this contract: the teleconsultation 7 days a week, 24 hours a day in your native language, the geolocation of a doctor or the nearest hospital, its specific application that you can download on your GSM, the efficiency of our broker for specific questions and assistance needs.
Given the length of your stay on an Australian working holiday visa, you'll find more job opportunities in the hospitality sector in the city: tourism, hotels, restaurants, as well as reception, housekeeping, cleaning, bartending, or dishwashing. You may be required to have a training certificate, such as a barista qualification, to work in this field.
Other possibilities include sales and marketing, whether by phone or in a store. This could be in a sandwich shop, a clothing store, direct sales, or a supermarket. Of course, fruit picking is a field where travelers can find work quite easily, as is construction/building work as a laborer, or even on farms and ranches in the Outback .
As a Belgian citizen , obtaining a Working Holiday Visa in Australia is a unique opportunity that many countries envy. Did you know, for example, that currently no country in Africa offers such a benefit? Furthermore, there are few requirements to obtain a Working Holiday Visa in Australia. You must be a Belgian citizen (or a citizen of another country that has signed the Working Holiday Visa agreement ), be between 18 and 30 years old (35 maximum for certain nationalities, such as French, Canadian, and Irish), have no dependent children, and preferably have a clean criminal record.
The Australian Working Holiday Visa is valid for one year from your first arrival date in Australia. "First arrival" means you can enter and leave the country as many times as you like during your Working Holiday year. Once you have your Australian Working Holiday Visa, you have one year to travel to Australia from the date of issue. This is convenient if you need to finish your school year first or give notice if you are employed.
Subject to certain conditions, you can obtain a second, or even a third, Working Holiday Visa in Australia. We explain everything in the FAQ below. No other country grants up to three Working Holiday Visas. This is a clear sign that Australia needs workers and young people like you for its job market.
To obtain a Working Holiday Visa as a Belgian citizen, you must be at least 18 years old and no more than 30 years old inclusive . You cannot begin the application process for a Working Holiday Visa before your 18th birthday, regardless of your destination country. After your 31st birthday, you can no longer apply for a Working Holiday Visa, regardless of your destination country. Visavacancestravail.be hopes that Belgium will extend the eligibility period to 35 years old inclusive with Australia, as France has already done, and that you will one day also be able to benefit from the extension to 35 years old inclusive for Canada, as is the case for our French neighbors.
We recommend having approximately €1000 to €1500 in savings to allow time to find your first job and receive your first paycheck (most salaries are paid every two weeks, or even weekly). For flights, you can either choose to return on a fixed date or change your return ticket once you arrive. The change fee is sometimes included in the package price (if you book far enough in advance), and we will inform you of this when you purchase your tickets if it is not. Please note that the validity of a round-trip airline ticket cannot exceed one calendar year.
It's been a month now since I arrived in Australia, and what an adventure it's been in just one month! My sincere thanks...
My nephew went to Australia with L&T a few years ago, he had a silly fall and broke his leg...

Here are 5 reasons that will lead you to the Working Holiday Visa in Canada and those that will lead you to New Zealand .
Whether it's housing, transportation, or entertainment, Australia is a country where the cost of living is relatively high, especially in Sydney and Melbourne. But rest assured, salaries are proportionally higher. It's possible to live on a budget outside the cities. Be careful not to blow your budget right away upon arrival. Food and petrol remain affordable, unlike alcohol and tobacco, which are heavily taxed by the government. Expect to pay around €600-800 per month for a shared apartment. If you want to be realistic, budget a minimum of €50 per person per day. Keep in mind, however, that your lifestyle and accommodation choices (shared apartment, hostel, buying a van, bus travel, etc.) will determine your budget. In Australia, the legal minimum wage for an adult is AUD 24.10 per hour (approx. €14 per hour) , with the average being around AUD 26 per hour (approx. €15). Your Australian Working Holiday Visa will allow you to work as many hours as you wish.
Australian Working Holiday Visa holders choose Sydney as their starting point. It's easy to see why: the quality of life there is undeniable, not to mention the job opportunities. If you're looking for a more "hip" vibe, Melbourne is a great alternative.
Especially since nothing prevents you from changing your destination during your trip. Finally, Brisbane , located further north, will offer you more sunshine – it's the capital of Queensland, also known as the Sunshine State , which boasts no fewer than 320 days of sunshine a year! – if that's what you're looking for, while also offering you the coveted Australian lifestyle. From there, you can simply head down the Gold Coast to reach Melbourne or Sydney . But don't forget to check out our Australia destinations page to find a place that's right for YOU.

In Australia, you can apply for a second, or even a third, Working Holiday Visa for an additional year . It only takes thirty minutes to apply on the Australian government website, subject to a few conditions:
To obtain a second Australian Working Holiday Visa, you must have worked at least 88 days or 3 months, either continuously or in several periods, for one or more employers in specific fields: plant and animal cultivation or fruit picking (agricultural work), fishing and pearling (fishing and pearl farming), tree farming and felling (forestry and tree felling), mining (mine work), and construction work, AND in specific regions. The counters are reset at the start of your second Working Holiday Visa. You can then work an additional 6 months for the same employer or study for another 4 months. You can either complete your second year immediately following your first or retain your eligibility until you turn 30. If you plan to work two consecutive years from the outset, please inform us, and we will only book a one-way ticket for you (a return flight ticket cannot be valid for more than one year).
To obtain a third Working Holiday Visa in Australia, you must have worked at least six months , either continuously or in several periods, for one or more employers in specific fields (see above) and in specific regions. The counters reset at the beginning of your third Working Holiday Visa. You can then work an additional six months for the same employer or study for another four months. You can either complete your third year immediately following your second or retain your eligibility until you turn 30. Click here to read our article about the third Working Holiday Visa.
