During these four weeks, you will also participate in group activities , ideal for meeting other Working Holiday Visa holders and discovering the local culture.

Learn Korean in Daegu to find a job

During your settling-in month, you can take Korean language classes at a school located a few minutes' walk from your accommodation.

Two rhythms are offered:

  • 2 classes per week , or

  • 4 classes per week ,
    each session lasting 1 hour 30 minutes .

These courses are primarily aimed at beginners . If you have prior knowledge of Korean , they will provide you with the basic skills needed to communicate in everyday situations and find employment .

Learning in Daegu is less intensive than in our other destinations like Seoul or Busan , where courses take place in international schools that welcome students and travelers from all over the world with varying levels of study. Here, the experience is more local, accessible, and immersive —perfect for a first taste of the language.

Afterwards, you can continue your studies in Seoul or Busan to deepen your level and experience the full life of an international school , with the option of staying with a host family or in a student flatshare .

In addition, the school offers free language exchanges every day, morning and evening: an ideal opportunity to practice Korean with locals while teaching them English in return.

WHAT TO DO IN AND AROUND DAEGU?

The lively atmosphere of downtown Daegu, with its bars, clubs, shops, and markets, as well as the Buk-Gu district, is characterized by a youthful, student-oriented vibe.

Surrounding Daegu, you'll find

towns of historical significance, Buddhist temples, and mountains such as Palgong-san, offering interesting destinations for tourists. Seoul and Busan are easily accessible by train.
