We compared the insurance offers and policies of several companies and our choice fell on the Travel Zen contract from our insurance broker .

Why? This contract covers a wide range of situations that can, fortunately, rarely occur during a Working Holiday Visa stay in New Zealand. It has evolved over the years since the introduction of the New Zealand Working Holiday Visa for Belgians (agreement that came into effect on November 1, 2004). It was designed specifically for working holiday programs.

What Visavacancestravail.be particularly appreciates in this contract: the teleconsultation 7 days a week, 24 hours a day in your native language, the geolocation of a doctor or the nearest hospital, its specific application that you can download on your GSM, the efficiency of our broker for specific questions and assistance needs.

It is not possible to obtain a second Working Holiday Visa for New Zealand. However, it is possible to extend it by three months. To benefit from these three additional months in New Zealand, you must provide proof of three months of seasonal work in the agriculture, horticulture, or viticulture sectors during your first Working Holiday Visa . You will then need to apply for the Working Holiday Extension Work Visa from New Zealand Immigration and pay NZD 700 (approximately €365) . This is not ideal if you have booked a return ticket with a return date that cannot be postponed beyond a year. It would be better to consider a Working Holiday Visa for Australia (renewable under certain conditions). Visavacancestravail.be does not believe it is worth paying NZD 700 for only three additional months.
