"Hi Maelle, I found a job and I've been here for 3 days. It's great, it's between Brisbane and Cairns and 2 hours from the sea. It's a cattle farm but they also have horses, sheep, dogs... I'm here with the owners (they're lovely) and another girl my age (who's been through the same thing as me) so it's quite a friendly atmosphere, which I prefer to a big, soulless factory farm. I don't have to pay rent or for food, which is perfect. I work from about 7am to about 5pm, depending on the workload. I've been here less than a week but I already love it!"
Hi Maelle,
The week is going really well, it's been fantastic. I got to feed a lamb and we went quad biking, tractor riding, horseback riding, etc. The training staff is super cool. We have different instructors for different things and they are all very kind and attentive, so it's great that I can ask lots of questions. The Visitoz staff are very nice too.
The group is great, I've made two good friends and I get along really well with everyone.
The hostel in Brisbane is amazing. It's very well located and there's a shared kitchen and a great atmosphere.
I just accepted a job offer in Melbourne. It's a job with horses (feeding and working with young horses). The woman seems really nice, and I have a little cottage all to myself. I start on Monday but I'm arriving this weekend to settle in.
Have a good day!
