My nephew went to Australia with L&T a few years ago. He had a silly fall and ruptured his Achilles tendon. L&T was incredibly supportive and responsive: he had excellent surgery there before being repatriated. That's why, when our son decided to take a gap year after finishing high school, we naturally turned to L&T. He's now been in New Zealand for three months and is absolutely thrilled!

Hello,
Australia is beautiful! My training week was incredibly enriching and so far I'm happy with my placement; I ride, take care of the horses, and clean the stables. Have
a lovely day!

Hi Maelle, thank you so much for your message!
Everything is going great! I had time to visit Stradbroke Island before heading off to training with some friends I met here, and I also checked out the shops in Brisbane! The training was awesome, and I'm off to Gold Coast with a friend who's coming from Visitoz because we have the same job at Widen Studios in Victoria, and we start on Tuesday! Everything is great, thank you!!
I'll send some photos when I'm in Victoria ;)
Have a great day!

Hi Maelle,
Great, my family is really lovely and I feel really comfortable there!
Yes, the agency was very welcoming when I was in Sydney. I haven't contacted them since.
Of course!

Hi Maelle,
It's very intense but super interesting! I'm having a great time! Clint and Tammy are amazing people! I also had the chance to spend a day at a goat farm! I loved that experience!
Yes, I have a job at Hallmark Farm. A stable run by an Olympic rider! I start on Monday near Adelaide!
Thanks for everything!
Have a good day,

Hello Maëlle,
Everything is going well for me! I've had the opportunity to work three days so far, but I'm not actively looking for work yet. I'm enjoying the moment! Have
a good day,
Gaston

Hello Maelle,
Everything is going very well, the host family is very kind and the classes are going well. Have
a lovely day!

Hi Maelle,
I'm doing well, thank you.
I'm now in Sydney. I just got all the necessary permits to work for Uber Eats; my roommates helped me, so I've started. I also have another job for 10 days that the Sydney job assistance service helped me find. The country is really great.
Thanks for the new flight schedule.
Have a lovely day!

Hi Maëlle,
Yes, I arrived safely. The city is really lovely and huge, I like it a lot. The host family is very kind and classes are going very well :)
I took some photos, I'll send them to you, you can do what you want with them haha.

Hi Maelle,
I arrived safely last night.
First of all, I want to thank you for your work. The organization was absolutely top-notch, and I would recommend you 100%.
I received your materials, the test was already completed last week, and the school has sent me the schedule for next week.
I can't wait for Sunday and to arrive at my accommodation. Apparently, I am incredibly lucky; the neighborhood is fantastic.
Best regards

Hi Maelle,
I'm glad I took the activities package; it was a great way to meet people and ease into things. The following week, I worked as a laborer for a luxury furniture store through Work and Travel. And last week, I took a rope access technician course; I'm taking my IRATA exam next Friday. I'm hoping to land a job as a window cleaner using ropes thanks to this.
The atmosphere at the Nomads hostel is fantastic, with the pub on the ground floor and all the organized events—it's easy to meet people! But it's also quite tiring 😅
Three friends and I are heading downtown on Wednesday; we booked an Airbnb. In the meantime, I'm also looking on marketplaces to buy a van. Have
a great day!

Hi Maelle,
I hope you're doing well.
As for Australia, everything's going great. I've been staying in Melbourne for the past few months. I didn't think I'd stay this long, but I'm enjoying it so much that I've decided to extend my stay.
I'm planning to go to Sydney for two weeks over the holidays before returning to Melbourne, I can't wait!!
Regarding work, it's been a bit more complicated than expected, especially finding a full-time position. I did manage to get a casual French teaching job in November and December, as well as one for a catering company.
I'm attaching some photos of the Melbourne area if you're interested ☺️
PS: Could you change the return ticket dates to late June/early July?
I wish you a wonderful holiday season. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Hello! Everything's going well, the session's over on November 5th :)
Yesterday we went to see a 4x4 to kick off our adventure. For now, we've rented a small Airbnb until the 12th while we do all our job searching :)
Yes, she sent me a message :)
Have a good day :)

Hi Maelle,
Sorry for the late reply.
I'm doing very well, and you?
I'm continuing my law studies; I'm currently at ULB for my Master's degree in Law, so I'm in Brussels.
My stay in Australia exceeded all my expectations; honestly, I have wonderful memories of it. One of my friends from Australia even came to spend a few days in Brussels with me, and it was great to see her again.
So, thank you so much for everything; my experience wouldn't have been the same without your help!
I'm obviously available to share my story if there are other testimonial events in Brussels; I'd be happy to.
Best regards,
Adélie

Hello Maelle
, Mathieu has decided to take his cocktail course and stay with his host family as originally planned. He will then find his own accommodation.
Noosa has been a very good choice for Mathieu; he feels very comfortable there. Thank you. Have
a good day.

Hello, yes everything is going well, thank you. The host family is great.
I had a question: when I return to Brisbane for my week of training on the farm, do I need to book a room in a hostel or is everything arranged? Have
a good day.

Hi Maelle, honestly, it's great, nothing to complain about. The host family is very nice and they help us a lot, and the classes are the same, the teachers are very well organized and they don't go too fast. Very happy

Hello,
Everything is going great, the accommodation is fantastic and super close to the school!
I think the school is great, the classes are very varied, with different activities every day :)
The view from the cafeteria is incredible, I'm sending it to you as an attachment to this email!
Have a great day!

Hello,
well, everything is going well with the courses and accommodation, thank you for that.
Everything in Brisbane went well too, great, thank you. Looking forward to starting work and getting a second visa.
Have a good day!

Hi Maelle,
I had a great week at the hostel and met lots of lovely people. The activities were really good. I'd be happy to share some photos with you!
Thanks so much!

It's been a month now since I arrived in Australia, and what an adventure it's been in just one month! I sincerely thank this agency for helping me with all the administrative details, which took a huge weight off my shoulders when I started my trip. I wholeheartedly recommend them; they provide excellent support throughout the entire journey. ☺️

Hello Maelle,
My week of activities went well, and so did the start of my stay. The plan now is to find work on a farm or with a local family for the next three months.
Have a good day!

The classes are going really well, with a suitable, gradual pace. There's no French spoken at school or where I'm staying, so that's great! So far, I love Manly Vale; it's a very pleasant town for going out and getting away from the big city center of Sydney.
I have a kind host family who takes the time to chat every day—it's fantastic.
I'm progressing slowly but surely, even though I have doubts some days and feel frustrated that I can't express myself as much as I'd like. Nothing unusual, it's all part of learning...
To be continued 😉

Hi Maelle,
Everything's going well, thank you :) and I'm waiting to hear back about a job.
Have a good day!

Hello Maelle,
I've returned to normal life under the grey Belgian skies, but I have incredible memories, a touch of nostalgia.
It's already been two years, and yet it feels like yesterday. This experience profoundly changed me, and I don't regret a single thing! I would do it again a thousand times if I could. It's almost like a dream, and sometimes I wonder if I really lived it.
It's a wonderful initiative, thank you so much for the invitation. Unfortunately (or perhaps not), I'm currently in Morocco, so it's not possible for me to come.
Have a good evening
, Justine

The Canadian Working Holiday Visa also attracts many young Belgians seeking their first professional experience abroad in a reassuring environment.
Toronto or Vancouver: discover below the reviews of young people who went to Canada on a Working Holiday Visa .
I wanted to thank Languages & Travel for all the help I received during my gap year in Canada! They're a fantastic agency—professional, readily available, and they adapt to each client's project! Throughout my trip, they supported me and made sure I was comfortable.
I started with four months in Toronto, then three months in Vancouver, a month of volunteering on a farm, and to finish my wonderful journey, two weeks visiting Montreal and Quebec City!
A huge thank you again to the L&T team!
Hello,
thank you for the invitation. Unfortunately, I'm not available.
I would have loved to come. Please feel free to contact me about another event.
My experience in Canada was incredible. Thank you again for your help during my stay.
Have a good day.

Hi Maelle,
Yes, everything is going very well. I really like the classes, the city is really nice and I'm getting along well with the family.
Good evening Maelle, I saw that Joey hasn't replied to your email yet. [...], but I can already say that the trip went well. He likes school and I think he likes his host family. He also thinks Vancouver is great. I have a question about school. For the moment, he's enrolled for 3 months. He hopes his English is good enough to find a job. Is it possible to extend the school, for example, by a month if necessary? He told me that his friends often stay at school for 5 or 6 months

Hello! Everything is going great for me! I'm in a lovely apartment with three roommates who all speak German, so I'm learning German on Duolingo.
My hours are perfect: 9 am to 3 pm for now, but starting next week it will be 9 am to 5:30 pm with a 30-minute break.
I have a shuttle bus that takes me every day between Invermere and the resort, specifically for staff.
Work is going well: in groups of two, we clean apartments. We get paid every two weeks, $20 an hour.
I also have time to ski because I have three days off a week, and I can choose which ones. I can even choose who I prefer to work with, so if I came with a friend, I could work with them all the time.
As staff, we get a pass with discounts on activities and 20% off food. We also receive some clothes at the beginning.
Everyone is very friendly and it's easy to make friends.
You should bring waterproof boots with good grip, and for housekeeping, you always need black trousers.
There are often events organized for the staff, like parties or bingo nights with prizes.
On-the-job training is well-organized; you learn directly on the job, and the boss comes to check that everything is going smoothly.
It's not too cold at the moment, but you still need to be well-equipped.
In any case, I'm having a great time in the mountains, and if possible, try to come here with a friend or two!

Still relatively unknown in Belgium, South Korea (the only Asian country offering Working Holiday Visas for Belgians) is attracting more and more young people wishing to have a strong cultural experience on a Working Holiday Visa.

Hi Maelle!
Everything's going well so far, apart from a few administrative issues (SIM card, ARC), but the great thing is that it's being taken care of locally. The contact people are very available and helpful. Besides that, we "do what we want" with our free time, so we wander around a lot and get lost quite often because we don't have Wi-Fi everywhere and therefore no GPS (app: Never Map or Kakao Map). Most people in Daegu don't speak English, which makes communication difficult, especially in restaurants, but people are friendly, so we always find a way to understand each other (in the worst-case scenario, we choose randomly and might get some surprises 😆). The classes are great, the teacher is fantastic! We're learning well; as beginners, we have class from 1:30 pm to 3 pm, Monday to Friday, and we really enjoy it! For the next two Fridays, we have cultural visits to Daegu (museums, parks, etc.), and this Thursday we're going to Pohang to do our ARC and do some sightseeing. It's also possible to participate in events at the BOX (where our classes are held), so it's really fun!
So, in conclusion, the first few days take a little getting used to, but little by little we find our way and savor every small victory, and it's great!
If you have any questions, we're here.
Have a good day!

Hi Maëlle,
Since finishing my English classes, I've stayed in Queenstown. I now have a full-time job and a place to live here. The goal is to earn some money for the next part of my adventure :)
In February, a friend and I are going on a road trip since she bought a car, and then in March, we're going on holiday/tourist mode to Australia! Might as well take advantage of it being so close, haha.
After that, I think I'll come back to Belgium. I think I'll have seen and done everything I wanted to :)
I'll definitely put something on Google and will gladly share some photos of my adventure here :)
In any case, no regrets! Everything is going very well for me 😊
Have a lovely day

Hi Maëlle,
Well, it's done!
Everything's going well so far, let's hope it stays that way! The more "adventurous" part of his trip starts in a few days. I think he's a little scared ;-) but he's been handling everything really well from the start, so we're not worried at all. He'll gain confidence.
Best regards
